going to propose to my gf

my gf was previously engaged. it hurts me to think about it. do i even dare ask her where she had the previous engagement party? do i even dare ask her how she was engaged and how he proposed to her?

I'm supposed to propose in the next month. I don't even have a ring yet. I'm supposed to have the engagement party in october.
