I don't think there's anything wrong with trying to find cheap places in Manhattan. Yeah it's expensive, but it's just stupid to blow money on expensive alcohol when it can be had for cheaper.

Theres a nice little spot on the corner of Madison Street and Allen. I forget the name of the place (has a Jewish name) and its a great spot. Drinks are $5 for the most part, and its always great people there.

The only thing that sucks is that its cold out, and the weather seeps into the place easily. If its cold out, dont bother.
