Some of the most beautiful places in the world that I've visited are in Mexico.

FYI, In much of the world outside North America and Western Europe it is best not to drink the water. Bottled water is cheap and plentiful.

It's not something one has to "constantly worry about", just be careful and enjoy your travels.

umm i lived in Germany for 4 years while in the air force and my wife and I traveled everywhere. France, Lumemburg, Belgium, Holland, Denmark, Austria, Italy, Czecholovakia and not once did we have to worry about the drinking water or the food.

what about the caribbean? i have been wanting to take a vacation there and have read a lot of blogs about peoples experiences at certain all inclusive resorts and not once have i read to be careful of the food or water.

i dont get it. with the billions of dollars we amricans spend in Mexico why cant the Mexicans fix their water supply so that its safe for everybody to drink?

Read my post again...I said OUTSIDE North America and Western Europe. That means WITHIN these areas, the water is safe to drink.

Pay off the guards at your hotel with cash or booze.

And don't let the hookers you pick up be alone near anything you value.

edit: didn't read your actual post, lol.... don't listen to me.
