So I am going to London for a week, and I would love some tips and advice. What are some must-see attractions? Good food/restaurants? Places to avoid? Also, I will be staying at The Tower Hotel; anyone ever stayed there?

Thanks!

Make sure you catch a game of Footy. Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, West Ham. Nothing like it. Especially when they start singing those chants against one another

If you like mussels or beer..

You can make online reservation now, place is awesome

If you like indian food, Golden Oven, the guy will try to sell you more stuff, but just say no, place is tiny though, like 8-9 tables

Make sure you eat some bangers and mash and have the famous English "fry up" for early morning breakfast.

Oh and watch out for dodgy looking doner kebabs at some street venders in London.

Someone mention london eye, you can buy tickets ahead of time on the internet and not wait online there, i think you still need to get on the waiting line to pick them up..

will you be taking the tubes around ? its fairly easy and recommended, cab can be quite pricy. You can get oyster card and put like 30 pounds on it and tube around the city

Oh and can you please tell my English cousin Oscar that I still want my Metallica "And Justice for all" CD he borrowed from me when I was there back in 1996😀

Haven't been there in so long, any tips I might have had are outdated . . . except for this small but timeless one:

As a pedestrian crossing any street with traffic, be sure to re-train which way you look -- it's opposite day every day in them thar isles! 😛
