Things I need:

- Spaghetti Sauce ( hate Ragu, I like Prego but can anyone recommend a new one to try? )
- Fruit ( Bananas )
- Medicine ( Nyquil? )
- Drinks ( Dole raw Pineapple Juice which has 120% Vitamin C in 1 serving )

I was going to get some oats but that would probably require milk which I heard isn't so good for when you're sick since it boosts production of mucus.

Throw in any recommendations please, I'll check the thread out in ~20 mins.. Feel free to add any random food that I should try out.

I hear alot of good stuff about Thereflu. Never tried it though. Get lots of liquids. Oh, and pick me up some bacon and hookers.

Dude I piss like every 20-30 minutes, I went through like 4 huge cans of Pineapple Juice already.. just gonna reload on some.

Regular 2%+ (no skin crap) milk/chocolate milk; never heard it was bad for you. I drank lots of milk last time I was sick. Mucous won't kill you, and your body could use the nutrients. Thick and nutritious, also filling. Do tell me wrong if it is bad though.

And don't forget to spread the love😉.

Chicken soup. Be careful with Fruit Juice, it has a lot of calories.

What are your symptoms that are bothering you?

Well if you're sick with the flu, I would suggest not going out at all.

See if you can find lemon and ginger herbal tea. I like that when I'm feeling under the weather. Take some pain killers to relieve congestion and gravol for any nausea. The rest of that crap isn't worth the bottle it's in.

Disgusting nasal congestion feeling, heavy heavy coughing, sneezing 800 lbs of snot.

I'm no Dr, but checkout the various Medicines. They usually list the symptoms they treat, choose one closest to what you have. Asking a Pharmacist would be a very good idea, not only are they well trained, but they have a lot of exposure to People's experiences with various medications.

Hot soup and hot beverages(especially Herbal Tea I find Mint or some kind of Spice Tea to work well) always seem helpful when having Congestion.

doesnt sound like flu, just a cold or maybe upper respiratory sickness. I had something like that last week, it put me on my ass for about a week.

You're already doing one thing right, and that's drinking a lot of liquids. The other thing I'd do (that you can't get a grocery store) is sleep. Seriously, go to bed now. Get 12 hours of sleep, your body will thank you later.

As for medicine, I'd go with NyQuil-D. Out of everything I've tried, stuff with psuedoephedrine is the only stuff that works. Since NyQuil knocks me unconscious, it's a double win.

I basically slept the entire Saturday, woke up late at night and went on the pc for a couple hours and then had another great sleeping session 🙂

Something with pseudoephedrine (unless you have high blood pressure)

Stay away from sugary fruit juices and drink water/Gatorade to keep hydrated.

Water doesn't contain Vitamin C though. Nor does Gatorade. Coconut water has more potassium and electrolytes than Gatorade, plus it's all natural. Gatorade offers virtually no advantages to Coconut water.

I always get tons of gatorade or powerade. I figure the energy is good for me. And the fluids are damn good.

Cost. I can get a gallon of Gatorade for $4. I can of coconut water is $1 around here.
