I have decided to try out the dual display option. I don't have the slightest clue on how to go about setting it up or configuring my system. Can any please help and give me some advise on what I should do? Thanks.

Ya, you should have PCI video card. I suggest getting a decent one depending on what you are going to do on the second monitor.

I already have another VGA card. I matched the memory just in case (32mb). Do I just put it in and install the drivers? Whats the process? Will the drivers conflict with my main VGA? Thanks

I am not sure of this but you need to make sure your 2ndary video card has driver support for dual moniters. If it is a recently new, brand name card, you should be fine, otherwise, I think you can set it in the BIOS so that your ATI card is 2ndary (go Video Boot off PCI) then have Win2k switch them back.

This worked in both Windows 98 and XP so I'm guessing it will work on all operating systems in between. Basically, open the computer, stick in the new card and reboot the computer with a monitor attached to the new card. Make sure you have monitors plugged into both cards or else I can't guarantee anything. Windows will recognize new hardware and prompt you for the drivers. After that it should be really easy and quite self explanatory. I wouldn't worry about messing anything up because there really isn't that much you can do to your computer with something as minor is this. Don't worry, it's easy. :)

I think, due to the fact that he has 32MB of ram in it, that his second card is relatively new. This shouldn't be a problem, but just in case, what kind of card is it?

1. Your Vid Card drivers don't need to support Dual Monitor operation in 2k. It's the OS, not the cards that is doing the Dual Display (unless you're running a dual head display card then you have more configuration options). Just make sure your cards are 2k compatible, install your primary AGP first, install your secondary PCI w/drivers. Reboot.

BornStar18 is pretty much right. follow the prompts.

Here's a link to "one" way of doing it:

One way to set up Dual Monitor Display in Win2K

There are actually three ways to skin this cat - but that's the standard config. Just do a Google if you want to see how other peeps set it up.
