Going to Cocoa Beach, FL for spring break, any ideas what to do?

Yeah I know it's three months away before I leave, but I'm really excited, and already looking around on the internet for info. I'm going with my friend down there for over a week. His dad lives there during the winter, and we will be getting a motel for a few of the days just for us. What is there to do for two 18yr olds besides that we will be getting very wasted every day of it. 😀

We're from Michigan, the upper peninsula of it at that, so this will be a unique experience I'm thinking. I've never been to FL or any place like it really.

My parents live farther south so I didn't go there too much but here's what I remember from when i've been there:

Daytona is only an hour away. You'll be about 45 min from orlando. Kennedy space center and the space museum are 20 min away. Find out if there is a night launch while you'll be there cause those are cool and you'll have a pretty good view. I don't remember anything else interesting in that area, but the beach is nice. It's not much of a surfing beach (not 100% here, I've only been to Cocoa beach a few times), but you might be able to catch a wave here and there. There are a bunch of little bars and places on the other side of A1 (right next to the beach). There used to be a nude beach near there too, I think it was called Playlinda or something like that. You might check if that's still around (it's usually old people, but i haven't ever been there for spring break so it might be more exciting then). If you're on Merritt Island there used to be a couple of places that rent boats and jet skis right off of the A1.

I can't think of the area as being much of a spring break place, but I've only been there in the middle of the summer.

Yes we will be getting drunk, high on something, and maybe laid if we're lucky. 😀 We'll prolly just be chilling out on the beach getting drunk most of the time. I'd like to try surfing if I find some way where I can get a few hours doing it for cheap. I'm not sure if we'll goto Orlando other than that we are flying there.

Is there anything to do at night there if you're under 21?

My grandparents live in Satellite Beach, FL which sits next to Cocoa.

You MUST visit Ron Jon's surf shop and the Pier restaurant.

Also, there is an Italian family restaurant a block or two away from Ron Jon's and the other surf shops.... It really has some of the best authentic Italian food I've eaten.

Besides that stuff, you can visit the Port where they shoot the space shuttles from, go fishing, visit beach, etc.
