I've heard of several people continuing to get billed after they cancelled their service. Watch your CC bill.

Make a standard Muslim beheading video that demands that AOL cancel your account or you will be beheaded.

Just tell the customer rep that you do not want the service and is not interested in hearing how great it is. Make sure you get her name, e-mail address and cancelation number from AOL. They have to let you cancel. So just keep telling him/her you want to cancel it NOW.

Steve Case will host it for you and put it on the AOL welcome screen.

A few months. I got 8 months free while trying to cancel 0.o.

You told them where to shove it right? :p

I figured, "hey, it's free."..

To my everlasting shame :(.

I cancelled 4 months after, and 4 months later I was billed. I haven't been reimbursed, but I am sure I'm cancelled now ><.

every time i called to cancel they'd extend my free offer for a month so i could try out a new feature.

had the one month free AOL for about 10 months. finally after the 10 months i really had to cancel cause i was leaving the country. only took 5 mins.

I've violated the AOL TOS plenty of times. Only managed to get the friend that owned the account warned. :(

Insult/threaten other people in the chatroom so that they complain.

Hopefully I can cancel it after telling them no a few thousand times

(I signed up last week cause cable was down).

You signed up for AOL ? !

Isn't that an automatic ban offence here on Anandtech Forums ? .... lol ... j/k :)

You should tell her that you need to download more pornography of <insert someting insanely gross here> and you can not find enough of it on AOL, and you are going to Comcast.
