Going to Cabo, first time going to a tropical beach, what are the best things to do?

I know Lovers Beach is supposed to be nice. You can get a water taxi out to the arch and lovers beach for like 12 dollars a person.

Tropical beach? Not really.

-Spending two hours on a timeshare presentation at a major resort can land you nice gifts and cash up to $300
-Take an evening cruise around the bay on the CABO REY in Cabo San Lucus (live band, live entertainment)
-Go horsebackriding at the Lagoon in Cabo San Jose (no one goes there)

Everything you said is pretty standard. The wife and I have been to a few dozen such beaches, but after the first few visits you really run through all the standard touristy stuff. Parasailing is probably the most fun followed by kayaking and jet skis. Horseback riding just isn't that much fun, but you might be different. I rode a horse through the water in the Bahamas one time and had to hang on for dear life while the animal ran wild crashing me against the waves.

That's my take. Ignore the naysayers that think vacations in Mexico are always like a Cancun spring break. There's a hell of a lot more to do.

I've never been to Cabo, and with the current situation in Mexico it's unlikely I'll be going any time soon, but if I were on a tropical beach I'd be both snorkeling and working on my tan. And sipping those fruity drinks with the little umbrellas... And looking at all the hotties walking by.

Just got back, it was really awesome. Beach front room and still dont know how the resort was so cheap, it was all inclusive including gratuity and booze and really nice. I did mess up and lose my glasses in a kayaking accident halfway through the trip, I have 20/600 without glasses but managed to still have fun legally blind including going to downtown cabo and cabo wabo at night lol. The people there are so friendly and nice and the service was top notch which was a surprise considering no tipping on the resort. I really want to go back considering how much fun we had and how inexpensive it was.
