Just a question, does it include (retail) an optical cable?

Also since I'm buying this off someone, what should it come with? this way when I go pick it up I'll know if he's giving me everything he should. He also said he will include an optical cable. Does it come with one retail? (like asked above) and is there a difference (sound quality-wise) between optical and non-optical?

thanks guys

Optical vs digital coax is pretty much no different besides these minor differences that people sometimes prefer one over the other because of:

1. Digital coax is a "stronger" connection. No worry about fiber snapping or connectors becoming loose.

2. Optical is free of any ground loops.

I see, and how much better would these speakers be over my z-630 set up? Will it just be louder or actually sound better?

You should notice some sound quality increases and they will go louder too. However, know that to get surround sound out of games(provided you don't own a DDL card) you need to connect via analog.

I want to connect it to my xbox 360 and to my pc, I'm using an audigy2 zs platinum.

1. Can I connect it to both somehow?

2. What's a DDL?

3. (to people who own these speakers) what should come with it when I pick it up?

Thanks

1. Yes you can. Hook your XBOX up via optical(I thinkt thats the only digital option) and hook your computer up via analog in from your Audigy 2 ZS.

2. Dolby digital live. Encodes surround sound to a digital line to go to your speakers. ITs the only way to get surround sound from games via a digital connection(or DTS connect)
