Regarded by many to be one of the top 10 in the nation, finally taking my wife there tonight for an early anniversary celebration.

I want to try the Filet, but 12 oz may be a bit small for me.... But its gotta be so damn good. What do you think?

UPDATE: Just got back, we were there for over 3 hours. Two words come to mind - HOLY SHIT, that place is INSANE. Red Velvet walls, 170 page wine list with wines going back to the early 1700's, and the BEST FOOD i've EVER eaten. Its really hard to even describe the place, its like being in disney world, except real.

Ended up with the 10 oz Filet cooked Medium Rare, so tender, i actually was able to cut it with my fork.

In the desert room, my wife and I had an amazing dulce de leche and I topped it off with an expensive Medeira desert wine from 1898, but I had to splurge a little, how often are we gonna be there.

I can't recommend Burns enough, that place is just amazing, AMAZING. Never seen anything like it. If your ever in Tampa, GO TO BERNS.

Filet is the best steak I've ever had, but I'm far from an expert on steaks. What is the best cut that comes off a cow?

As far as tenderness, you can't beat a filet. I just think they taste a bit bland.

edit: you are going to love the food there... not that I really need to tell you that. It is absolutely first class.

From the same cow:
the ribeye will have more flavor, but the filet will be more tender.

From the restaurant: depends on how it's cooked. I had a filet with blue cheese on it a few weeks ago. Absolutely delicious, although the restaurant overcooked it :(
