Hey guys, well yesterday I made a decsion that will prob. end my life, and that is to Run cross country next semester at my univ. I run everyother day, about 2-3 miles depending on how hilly the area is. So i talked to the XC coach yesterday, and she said that i would be a good fit, cuz i am tall, 6'4, lean, 190lbs, and i have some running exp. Well then she tells me that races in college are 5 miles, where as in Highschool they are 5ks or 3.1 miles. I was like damn, cuz in pratices she said they have run up to 10 miles. Maybe its just me, but 10 miles is a really long run.
Just got a email from her, giving me a 5 week program to get me ready for when the real program starts which is in June, thats when u run like 150 miles in 3 weeks, its going to be insane, never have I run this much
Well at least i wil be able to say i tried, hehe, ok well wish me luck, program starts next monday the 28th.
if u have any exp with running please let me know, i can use all the knowledge i can get.
also if u know of any good running shoes sites, i havne;t tried google yet, but i am just about too
