Going to a club for the first time - WTF do we wear?

I'm not embarassed to say I've never been to a club before. We were invited to one tonight ot celebrate an old friend's b-day. Here's a quote from their website:

*Must have a good attitude
*Must not have too much cologne on!
*No sweat suits
*No Ambulance Chasers
*No guys with tank tops, only girls cuz they look better!
*No gold or silverchains
*No stupidity Ask a security member to help you!
*No Mullets
*No printed t-shirts
*No push-up bras, it's false advertising 🙂
*PLEASE DO NOT DRINK MORE THAN 1 DRINK AN HOUR!
*Don't pre-party too much, we canot allow a patron to enter of remain on our premises if you are visibly intoxicated.

From what I have seen online, they also do not allow ripped jeans or tennis shoes.

When drinks cost upwards of $10, the 1 / hour limit is usually self-imposed. 😛

One major reason why I never liked going to clubs.

They're probably one of those hip new "anti-clubs" that market to people that want to go to a club, but don't want to interact with the people who typically go clubbing or the atmosphere.

They're probably more an adult-oriented club rather than teenie-boppers. Swingers clubs are usually like this. 😛
 
im the summer i usually wear a fitted polo (not too big on me) and a dark pair of stonewashed jeans. no tuck. black dressy shoes. black socks
 
Would wear a collared/button up shirt, clean jeans, and black shoes. Can't go wrong...

Oh and I've never heard of that 1 drink per hour thing. There's no way that they would care to monitor that.

-- Beater
-- Pink shirt (salmon pink, not that pansy crap most people wear)
-- Jeans
-- White dress shoes
-- Blue Blazer

 
Eh. Partially unbuttoned button-up, untucked, sleeves rolled up if you want (could get hot in there), clean/dressy jeans/khakis/dress pants & black shoes?

Dressy-casual.
