Palin had a deadline of Sept. 15 for her manuscript and turned it in a bit early. Copy-editing and fact-checking are now underway in a race to meet the crash publishing schedule, which has been accelerated four or five months because of the huge anticipated demand.

Shure fire way to publish a piece of crap. This will be the "Hellgate: London" of books. Lots of anticipation, but nobody signs up because it sucks.

Blizzard Entertainment wouldn't stoop to this level. "It'll be done when it's done" (and it will be awsome).

They appealed to a political segment that we might not like to be as large as it is - and his ticket did much better than it had any right to after Republican disasters.

Sarah Palin was brought in to take advantage of the rift between the Clinton / Obama camps, and hopefully draw some of the hilary supporters over to the republicans. That gamble worked initially, but didn't pay out after Clinton and Obama finally made nice.

Lets see if I can quite get my arms around this, the gage of Sarah Palin popularity will be in selling 1.5 million books which means if each book is read once, only 1 person in 220 in the USA will read it. Dare we hope for the 3 million mark and she still will not crack 1%. Its enough to make Sarah rich, but going by her track record, every time Palin opens her mouth, her overall support goes down.

And you betcha, you can take that latter statement to the bank. Sarah Palin has achieved name recognition, but so has OJ Simson and Ossama Bin Laden. I can hardly wait to see the Sarah Palin book reviews in the funny papers. You can bet the comedians will have have yet another field day.

I'd bet the book will sell like hotcakes, easily hitting No 1 on NY Times (wonder how she'll feel about that!) It will also likely be pretty well written by whoever it is that wrote it, but there will be plenty of folksy talk liberally sprinkled throughout to maintain the illusion of country wisdom and Palinism's aplenty.

Concrete solutions to any given problem other than drill baby drill or cutting taxes (that old saw!) are unlikely to make an appearance.

Look for at least one chapter on god and how he changed her life, and ditto for Trig. I'm curious what she'll say about Levi.

Conservative authors receive virtually no coverage in the popular press, are ignored by major book reviewers in the New York Times, the Washington Post and Oprah, but always seems to generate a lot of buying activity.

I'm no Palin supporter, but she's got some really good values and boy would I love to bone her. It's just hilarious to watch the left get all riled up; this action will only sell more books. So in a way the left is self destructing, pissing off people that wouldn't otherwise vote and that is a good thing.
