Going on a cruise, how can I get around the personal booze ban?

I will be going on my first cruise and I am curious how strict they are about their booze ban. I would assume that they are fairly stict considering that is a huge profit margin for them on board the ship. When you go to port and get back on, how extensive are their searches?

So

sneak it all on in little plastic baggies that you swallow.

Fast for a day before getting on the cruise. Then about 30 minutes before you get on, make yourself throw up a few times. Drink some water and repeat until your stomach is really empty and clean. Then chug as much liquor as you can hold. You can easily do a gallon. Now, once you get on the boat, you can throw up into a bucket.

LMAO!

don't go on the cruise. No booze ban at all.

Get used to it. It is how they make cash by overcharging you on alcohol. Tis one of the benefits of not drinking...don't get fucked over by stupid cruise alcochol prices 😉

Take some water bottles, empty them out and replace with your choice of clear booze ( vodka, etc). Make sure they look as if they are full and sealed. Pop them into your check in baggage and maybe a couple in your carry on. Keep in mind that they will ask you to get rid of any opened liquid bottles regardless of what it is so make sure yours look like they are full sealed. Also they will more then likely not check your check-in baggage, just your carry on.

Good luck.

I have been on 2 cruises, NCL (Norwegian) and Royal Caribbean.

On both, I packed a large bottle of vodka in my CHECKED luggage and both times it arrived in my stateroom intact and delicious.

If you buy booze at a cruise stop (an island) or if you bring it in your carry-on, it will be taken.
If you bring it on from an island, they mark it with your name and deliver it to your stateroom on the night of the your last day on the ship.

not extensive at all...

High proof clear grain alcohol in an empty rubbing alcohol bottle. It's like concentrate - half a shot of that works just as well as a full shot of "normal" stuff.

Bring mixers. That stuff is vile.
