Any BIOS changes necessary for SSD?

I set my BIOS to boot off USB where I have Win 8 but it's not booting. I probably have the wrong files on the flash drive.

Have ever booted that flash drive before? As I recall, a bootable flash drive has to be in a certain format - FAT32, not NTFS.

This is insane, 6 hours to format a 32 GB flash drive?

Thanks. Got it up and running. Can't use the tiles because of my resolution so I installed Start8.
Flash drive (32 GB) wouldn't work the first time so I had to format it twice. Took about 6 hours each time. :shocked: Next time I'll dig out a 4 GB drive.

It be a good idea to change the drive settings to ACHI mode, from IDE, if you are installing new operating system on it.
