Going from AC adapter to molex connector...?

hello all, I need some help wiring up some things.

I have an AC adapter that has an output of 6v @ 200mA. it has the standard connectors (inside is +, outisde is -)

I want to connect this to a sound sensor and a 5-LED case light. the sensors and the lighting uses 4-pin molex connectors obviously. how would I go about connecting the AC adapter to the molex connector? I already have the power jack and know how to solder...

thanks a lot for any help

1. You mean one of those 4-pin PC molex connectors? IIRC those have 5 & 12 V rails, no 6V rails.
2. What voltage does the LED setup you want to connect need.
3. What is the mA draw of the LED thing.
4. Are you looking to power both the sound sensor and the LED from the same wall wart? If so, repeat 2 & 3 for that.

yeah i'm aware that molex connectors only have 5v and 12v rails.......

the LED is this model: http://www.xoxide.com/logisys-jumbo-led-blue.html

there are no specs on the website.

the sound sensor, however, draws 12v at a current of 700mA.... which I think is just insane. the thing is though, the LED connects to the sound sensor for power, so I think the 12v 700mA includes the lighting too.

thanks

Go that route. Your 6V supply won't supply the sound sensor, nevermind the LEDs.

Edit:
AC Adapter: 6V * .2A = 1.2W of power max.
Sound sensor: 12V*.7A = 8.4W of power draw.

If you wire it up, you get a broken power supply.
