Only if you can get the Barton to the same speed as your 2400+ (2GHz at default). Otherwise, you may actually see a decrease in performance in some applications due to the difference in clock speeds. I should have my 2500+ on Thursday....Googlegear has it in stock (NE didn't as of yesterday or today) and its $3 cheaper as well. Googlegear isn't as speedy as Newegg or some of the other internet e-tailers I've dealt with though...they slept on my order for nearly a full day before shipping it out today.
