Going for 10days to Miami, do I need a car for the whole 10 days?

Yay or Nay? First 4 days car -> doing little excursions, last 6 days just hangin' around in Miami. Do I need a car for Miami? As in, can I also walk everything or use public transport?
 
rent a ferrari. you'll need one in miami. they don't let you go anywhere without one there.
 
Bring your "How to Speak Spanish" book. I used to live in S. Fl and I've been to Miami and it's like going to Cuba.
 
Having a nice car is awesome for cruising down Collins and Ocean drive, a lot of fun. Parking is like $20 a day, your choice!

Some kind of motor vehicle is definitely necessary. If you don't want to rent a car the whole time, consider renting one of those little motor scooters. There's plenty of places there to rent them.
