The sistems (4 of them) will lok something like this:
Intel 820 (3.0)
Mb Asrock i945
Ram 2x512 DDR2
Vid GF 6200 turbocache
HDD maxtor 250 sata ncq
TFT 19 inch etc.

What ar you thinking about my choice for office productivity, with some (not very much) grafics, intensiv data base usage.
?

Not a terrible choice, though the heat produced by the 820 is daunting. I'd go for the 920 instead.

920 also has extra 2 mb of L2 cache.

The extra cache wont do anything but the 920 sure will run much cooler than the 820, and i think (if going by AU stores) the 930 costs the same as 820, so its pretty pointless to get 820.

I would definatly go with the 920 over the 820, the 920 will run significantly cooler.

Edit: also, the 820 and 920 are 2.8ghz, the 830 and 930 are the 3ghz chips.

so...he's probably looking for a cheap cpu with some multitasking power. romania is just starting to rebuild itself. it's not like he's getting the computer for gaming. even if intel cpus aren't at amds level, they still get the job done at a low price

Hey, lets thread crap.

I don't think you need the 6200turbo cache. I think onboard or something like that will be fine for office use depending on what graphics you are useing. what type of graphics are you doing?
