Just curious, how old are you, what are you going to school for and why did you decide to go back?

Your wife wanted you to live in the domr? :Q WTF?

fwiw I always thought the "older" people in my classes were the most interesting. I hate my generation. :)

I'm back in school at age 40. :p

We have finals this week. I might even make the Dean's list. :) Didn't move and won't just yet, as there are 4 Universities in the area offering evening classes.

I took two years off before going to grad school. I feel older and more mature than a lot of the other students. It's ok though. There are a lot of non-traditional students to hang with.

You're never too old to go back to school!

Besides, there are plenty of young people who appreciate the wisdom and experience of us "older" folks.

I had a co-worker once tell me, "If I go back to finish college, I'll be 42 when I graduate". I asked him, "and how old will you be in 3 years if you don't finish college"? It's never too late!

Old people at university annoy me. The ones in my engr classes always act so pretentious and are the biggest keeners. They always take up time in class to ask the prof questions which have no relevance to the course material.

Please don't be one of these old people - for the sake of your fellow students. ;)

Nah, don't feel old. There were alot of older people who were in my classes and I've worked with them just great. However, just don't try to think your better than the rest of the younger students, because this is the point where I got pissed off.

Do you mean high school? Live in a dorm? I will assume college.

In biology class there is couple of old people, one is really quite who doesn't do anything, another is quite active and thinks she is smarter than other people (she's nice, but ask way too many stupid questions).

Age wise I'm 35, wife is 28 just a young snot. The reason I'm going back had my second neck surgery in 2 years, so I need to get away from the more physical stuff, two kids(3 and 1) are hard enough on it. Gonna be Secondary ed Social Studies major, Clarion University of PA. Have 90+ credits now, and most of my history taken so I got a good start.

As far as the dorms go WTF was basicly what I said, and it ain't gonna save any money, but we have just one car and a POS at that so it wouldn't make the 120 mile round trip every day it have 120,000 miles on it now. Her job ain't that great so I talked here into moving, it wasn't that hard of talk anyway.

Its more a matter of feeling out of place then anything, and trust I won't act better then anyone else even if I am;). I am there to learn not teach. Thanks for the support later todd

Yes, I take up time too. I answer questions in both Multiuser Ops and Networking classes that the professors can't answer.

You won't feel out of place, but naturally there will be fewer people your age there. Colleges have been going after older students like mad, there will be lots.

It's great that you're going to finish up college and I wish you the best of luck.
