so I graduated last quarter, and looking back at my school record, i realized that I ended up taking a lot of econ courses for electives and general education credit. So that got me thinking, looking up some info, I found out that currently Im only 12 units away from a minor in economics (3 4 unit classes) All 3 classes that I need are offered next quarter.
Had I realized that i was this close to the minor prior to last quarter, I would've delayed filing for graduation for 1 more quarter so I can declare the minor. I know this is going to be nagging at me for a while--that im so close, yet not taking the final steps to finish it. I've told my parents, and they're split - my mom wants me to stay and get the minor whereas my dad thinks an econ minor would be useless to me (as in i would not use it in the real world) and I would just be wasting my time.
I've tried to contact my advisor, but hes gone for christmas and won't be back until the new quarter starts up again.
I've somewhat already commited myself to leaving college (eg. moving out, job hunting), so suddenly reversing my position on that would be an inconvience to both myself and those around me.
Thoughts / Opinions?
