If you already have The Witcher on GOG, you will still get the bundled $13.59 price on TW2 when buying it individually. I assume the inverse is true.

Yeesh, with the number of sales of discounts GoG has put TW1 and 2 up for, is there anyone who doesn't own them?

Nice, I wish I hadn't bought Witcher 2 during the Steam sale, so they'd keep more of the $$. Oh well, maybe I'll buy another copy of Planescape Torment or something instead.

Amazing price for an equally amazing series. I can't say enough good things about the Witcher series. And from my own experience, you may have some doubts starting the first one but it's worth grinding through the first 2 acts of Witcher 1 which moves quite slow and may turn some people off. But once you start getting into the meat of the story it really gets intense.

I played through Witcher 1 using a guide when I was stuck to absorb and complete the story as quickly as possible to get to Witcher 2. Although you can play W2 without playing W1, understanding the lore and the absolute badassery of Geralt beforehand really helped with the immersion in W2. Witcher 2 is an unbelievable rpg experience.

bought the first witcher on steam and I really don't like it. the animations are goofy the combat feels clunky and its just not fun to play. witcher 2 would have to be vastly different for me to bother, is it better than the first? not just graphically but gameplay wise?

Combat is completely different (for the better, imo) in Witcher 2. It's much more action RPGish than just timed clicking Check out some videos on Youtube.

They are DRM free, why would you want to add DRM ?
Convenience. If I don't have physical media for a game, I'd like to have some guarantee that I'll be able to redownload it in the future if I should have a hard drive failure or simply want to delete it to free up space, and I trust the longevity of Steam more than GoG.
