Anyone familiar with the Witcher II? What kinds of games does it play similar to? I'm curious if I should purchase it, I passed on the steam sale but it's been eyeing me for bit now.

turns out GoG is located outside the US so I won't be able to purchase it as easily, oh well

Its a dorky rpg 🙂

I liked it but i can't really compare it to another game - even witcher 1 - the mechanics are a bit unique as are the controls. Hum. Maybe it is similar to crysis 3 🙂

wow...that is...beyond the pale.

IIRC, my best time from start to finish for S Metroid was 1 hr, 54 minutes.

Bought witcher 2 despite not being able to play it :/ what's wrong with me?

@Zin To be fair, Gen Y has only ever learned to walk from one quicktime event to the next

Absolutely nothing. You bought an amazing game at what is likely the best price you'll ever see. Enjoy it when you can!

I was thinking of picking up Don't Starve for $9.99 and forgot to.

New sale for June 20:

Might and Magic 1-9 and Crusaders, $8.45 75% off.

Package of Whispered World, Deponia 1 and 2, two 'Harvey' games, 'A new beginning', and 'Chains of Satinav' is $26.19 75% off.

I was kind of interested in the Deponia pack, but really the reviews of most of those games are so so at best. There are better games on there to be had for cheaper.

I've never even heard of/played most of these games...and I'm 32 years old and PC gaming since 1994.

honestly if you haven't heard of these games you haven't really been gaming. You played a few games on the PC since 1994.

Big list of daily deals today 6/21. Too many to list.

Samples:

Legend of Grimrock, Divinity 2, Torchlight, Inquisitor, Driftmoon $19.95

Heroes of Might and Magic 1 - 5 and Heroes Chronicles: $17.45

One game on sale is 'Dyad', formerl PS3 exlusive they say was 2nd highest metacritic for PS3 last year, $4.99 66% off. Looks like 'Tempest' sort of. Hm.

Also they have 'Omerta complete' for $11 (Steam $40 for base game), it got terrible reviews, but some decent ones and they're putting out a lot of fixes and additions.

Oh, I haven't been really been gaming on the PC since 1994? Thanks, I wasn't aware of that.

If you enjoy metroid/castlevania type games, I suggest checking out Unepic. It's $4.99 on GoG right now. Very fun game. Some of the humor in it might turn some ppl off, but otherwise it's a solid game.

God help humanity....

i don't get this, just because a bunch of nerds who played the game 30 years ago know what to do doesn't mean that people who never played it or weren't even f-ing born yet know what to do in the game. not really sure what this has to do with the thread anyway.

I'm tempted by the sierra bundle. I loved a several old sierra games back in the day and I never played space quest, king's quest etc but I always was interested. Is it worth picking up this bundle?
