goflex speeds

i recently bought a new external harddrive. i got a free agent GoFlex ultraportable drive from seagate, 1.5 Tb.

at some point this year seagate will release a connection for thunderbolt, i have a new macbook pro, but what kind of transfer speeds could i legitimately achieve with this drive through thunderbolt. I somehow doubt i can expect 10gigabyte transfer speed. does anyone know whats realistic?

Considering it's a spindle drive I think the transfer speeds you'll see is ~100MB/s. My WD 3tb USB3 gets about ~120-130MBs, so I figured slightly less platter density might reduce speeds a bit. The drives themselves can't saturate the connections that the high speed connections offer nowadays. Still external connections operating at like internal speeds for spindle drives is pretty sweet.
