Godzilla: Resurgence produced by Toho came out in Japan on Friday, July 29 (US release date pushed back to 2017,no idea why) and the trailer looks good. It's the old school Godzilla, not the 1998 or 2014 horrible Hollywood remakes. Hoping it will be here in the states soon.

More that Hollywood showed Japan how it's not done. You can't reinvent Godzilla. Stay true to the formula and it works, try to get clever and all you can do is fuck things up.

Just my opinion I guess, I'm not going to a theater for the next mess myself. I has high hopes the last one and what a mess.

I didn't see the one before that at the theater, some of the old cheesy ones in the 70s I did, they were at least amusing.

I love Godzilla.. Even when the movie is bad, it's still good. The only times I've ever been disappointed with a Godzilla movie is the two American versions.. not because they were American. It was because the first one was so far off from a Godzilla movie, and the second had Godzilla for a whole 20 mins. I'm there to see Godzilla, not a bunch of people running around talking about their daddy issues.
