I go out to my car. I get it and it won't go.

WTF, I think.

I get out, and there's a hissing noise and a slash in one of there rear tires which is clearly losing pressure.

Then I notice the front. The car is sitting on the rim. Same for the other 2 tires. All 4 tires show clear knife wounds.

Grr. I had an urgent 200 mile trip to make tonight, so that I could be ready for a meeting first thing. Now going to have to miss part of the day while I take the train.

Or just a jealous Marxist prick or a misguided greenie who somehow thinks making someone have to dispose of 4 tires and buy 4 more is going to save the environment.

At least they didn't take a Louiseville Slugger to both headlights.

Slashing tires and keying cars is the sort of thing that should be punishable by caning. Singapore's got the right idea about vandalism.

:music: Right now, she's probably up singing some
white-trash version of Shania karaoke..
Right now, she's probably saying "I'm drunk"
and he's a thinking that he's gonna get lucky,
:music:

On a more serious note, do you have any idea who might want to sabotage your car? Were other cars nearby also sabotaged?

Talk about jumping to conclusions

To the op, good luck on getting it fixed and / or finding out who the prick / pricks are.

Live in a bad neighborhood? Car too flashy? pissed off someone? Sorry to hear your loss.

8 years ago someone smashed my fender too, I was so pissed and never figure out who it was (a drunk in my apt complex I think), oh well, insurance paid for it san the deductible. Car - 97 Integra base model, OK neighborhood, and haven't pissed off anyone.

I had that happen to me once when I was a teen in high school, and I knew it was my girlfriends brother but couldnt prove it. But I kinda showed him for I just ran to the Junkyard and bought 4 new tires and rims for $20, $5 per tire and rim and was good to go in less then a hour. Lot of good he did trying to ruin my day. Got the tires on the car and yelled out next time try harder fucker.

If you dont know this already, the junk yard is the best place IMO, still to this day, to find good sets of tires, cheap. Ive found many new sets and you leave with the rim and all already balanced aired up ready to mount and go. And while there you go out in the yard if they let you and pocket lighters, tail and head lights, door lock knobs, anything pocket worthy for later :D

I feel your pain... anger didn't describe what I felt when I saw that someone had vandalized my brand new car... was more like rage. Takes a pretty worthless piece of shit to do something like that.

What a dickless thing to do.

I can't stand any kind of vehicular vandalism and that includes banging your car door into your neighbors, the penalty should be death.

Maybe he has low profile tires and it was only sitting a couple inches lower.

Because it was dark. It was very frosty and I was more interested in scraping the ice of the windows.

It defiantly does. I feel that if i ever caught someone in the act I would be doing some hard, but well worth it, time afterwards. The American History X Curbing scene comes to mind...

Damn, I also cant stand when people dont have respect for other's property. Hearing stuff like this happening just p*sses me off. Sometimes people do stuff like this at random "for the lulz." I know one time some kids put a bottle under my tire probably so that it would pop when I backed out. Good thing I saw it first.

Oh jebus fucking christ. You just won the award for stupidest, most ignorant post of the day. Congratulations! :cookie:

OPie, you have to have an idea who did this.

Nope. Absolutely no clue.

I don't have parking where I live, so I park the car just around the block on a residential road.

Kept it there for 2 years. Never a problem. Then one night, I go to my car, and find all 4 tires slashed to pieces - one losing air as I look (so obviously it was recent).

There's never a shortage of parking there; I take care never to obstruct traffic, doors or gates. I've never had a note or anything asking me to move it.

No idea who did it. My guess is that it was just a bunch of kids with nothing better to do, and that mine was the only car parked there at the time.

I had that happen about 10 years ago (random tire slashing). I was at my parents' house for the holidays and parked in the street outside their house. The best we can figure is after it snowed while I was there (in TN, snow is pretty rare), some of the teenagers got pissed because my car was somewhat in the way of them sledding down the hill and decided to exact revenge. I suppose it didn't occur to them to knock on the door and ask if we could move the car, which I would have been happy to do.
