Sucks. I hope whoever did this gets hit by a bus or something.
BTW, dumb question here....
why are airbags the most stolen/most profitable item? Never heard that before.
They cost or at least used to cost $1000+ to replace.
Now the big thing seems to be HIDs. My friend's S4's HIDs were stolen a couple months ago. Cost $3K to replace them not even adding in the cost of fixing the damage they caused when they used a crowbar to pry them loose.
I as well got broken into twice, however the 2nd time I caught them in the act... I HAVE THE ANSWER TO STOPPING THIS SH!T and it only cost me $20@ Fry's electronics they sell you an IR REMOTE alarm ...it's called Driveway Patrol the alarm actually is a portable unit w/400 ft. range..the first nite they loosened up the stereo (I have a detachable faceplate) they were looking for it, the glove box was left open and generally set everything up to come back and make a quick getaway the next nite...well I put that little $20 jewel up the next nite and guess what?!?! the little white-trash punks came back @ 3:AM!!! they were really fast too, by the time I got out there they had already gotton into the car and taken the change out of the change trayOriginally posted by: Maggotry
Had my car broke into twice. After the first time, I had an alarm installed and got a cd player with a detachable face. That didn't stop them. They broke into it again. Now I have a Kimber 45 and am awaiting the third break-in. 🙂 I have no tolerance for thieves. Steal my sh!t and your life is forfeit. End of story.
Very sorry this happened to you, notfred.
