Odd that people worship a god they think is that dumb. Also, one would think that God would be more pissed when people do this than when they use his name in vain.

Things makes one wonder. It just a subtler form of wrong though.

I used to work with a hardcore Christian, and one time I was raging at work, and one of the many things I said was Jesus Fuckin' Christ! About 15 minutes later, out of nowhere, he said "That's not his middle name". Literally made me LoL :^D

Do people really think that God/Jesus is fooled when they use an euphemism?

Particularly because there's the precedent set in the Bible that thinking about doing something wrong is as bad as actually doing it.

Humans often do a lousy job of creating gods that are better than they themselves are. The Greek gods, for example, were an entertaining bunch who weren't above murder or cannibalism.

speaking of censorship. what i hate is where they bleep out all the F-words but leave in the gory violence (say in Terminator or HBO Band of Brothers) what kind of twisted sickos think its ok for becky-sue and Billy-bob to see depictions of blood, guts and death but they will be ruined for life if they hear the F-word while watching it.

speaking of Christians. they seem to get upset when one mentions Jesus as the dead jew on a stick. or saying you do not believe in Jesus because you are afraid of Zombies. (he rose from the dead after all...that's a zombie in my book 🙂 )
