Sure, it looks nice, but I wouldn't pay extra for it. Making TV clearer won't keep it from sucking.

Lol, good point. Maybe if there was stuff worth watching....

Until the History Channel is nothing but HDTV I think I'll pass. 😛

true, but I have never watched a show on CBS. now that CBS airs all of it's primetime dramas in HDTV, i find myself wanting to watch more TV. for instance, CSI. I never cared about it before HDTV, now that it airs in HDTV, I can't miss an episode.

same here...hdtv will take over

no... it won't, at least not for another 10-20 years. HDTV takes way too much bandwidth to broadcast every channel in it over cable/sattelite channels. As a dish network employee, yeah we're proud that we just made a contract with HDnet so we can expand our HD channels from 5 to like 25, but that's because we partnered to an existing company. In the end, it'll be a LONG time before your fox or upn or even MTV broadcasts in HD.

Fox and UPN are supposed to start this fall... This is over the air though. This will be the downfall of dish where cable takes over because cable lines will be able to handle the bandwith of hdtv where sattelite will have some serious troubles.
