Everytime I iron out one problem I get another. I want to throw it out my window.

Should have been an artist or something instead.

<-- Proud owner of three computers built by major manufacturers that don't do weird crap (except minor stuff that's Window's fault).

Actually I can. :) I think I'm good at photography and layout/design also. I have a personal site and visitors tell me they think I'm very talented artistically.

I dunno tho, I have expensive tastes in stuff and artists don't make good money. I'm probably going to be an electrical/computer engineer very soon.

Sometimes I feel like I've had way too much technical stuff in my life and I want to get out.

salvation is a reformat away.

real salvation is no further than a new system, which will run a couple hundred bucks. nothing helps you troubleshoot more than having built that computer yourself.

Should let someone who actually knows what they are doing look at it.

ugh, I just reformatted like last week. I'm not going to do it again.

This is basically a new system, it has a new mobo, new ram, new cpu. I didn't reuse any of my old cards except for a promise controller and my old vid card.

I can point the blame for my current situation on the promise controller. It just doesn't work right, but I've never seen a 100% problem free add in ATA controller. All the ones I've seen don't work with something. And I need all my drives.

I know what you mean. Computers are a bitch but pay off when they work.

I built my last two PCs. Work great and less filling. BTW, try looking for help in the Technical Support forum (although General Hardware seems pretty popular for PC problems too).

that's a joke, every mac I've used has crashed.

I'd rather rip the finger nail off my pinky instead of using a mac.
