I was building a computer for my dad and was almost done but then some how the network got completely hosed and it wouldn't get on the internet anymore. I tried fiddling with all the services and setting sh*t but it was pretty much fried. Now I'm just reloading windows again.

I'm so tired of fixing stupid sh*t that should work right the first time around. Why is it so damn hard for some one to build a computer that doesn't break or f*ck itself up. Then there are all those damn exploits viruses, blah blah blah. Yeah I know there are patches, AV, whatever, but I don't want to have to baby sit a f*cking computer all the time to make sure it still works.

Anyone here switch to a Mac or something? Is it hassle free at that point?
 
SUSE 9.1, It?s secure enough to use after the install. The GUI is so easy to use that my 85 year old grandmother can send email birthday picks of her Chihuahua with it.

Maybe you should switch to a more secure OS like Linux: any flavor or OS X😉😛
