Repairable?

Hell no. You can't fix carbon fiber :(

And look at those ceramic breaks. All broken to hell :(

It's all one piece?

Yup. They'll have to replace everything from the doors back, most likely.

It does look as if he did slam right into a light pole. I don't see why it couldn't be repaired. Obviously needs the door(maybe), tire/brakes and the entire rear fascia replaced but I dont' see where any massive frame damage was caused.

Maybe if we are lucky we will find it repaired and sold cheap on ebay!

LOL, Spicoli. :D

EDIT: Oh, and as far as "God help us all!!", please. It's just a car, wrecked by some inexperienced and probably undeserving douchebag. It's not the end of the world, really.

From what jeremy exhibited on his test run in top gear its not to hard to loose this beast on the corners.

I bet thats what happened, he gunned it in a corner trying to show off and slammed it into a phone pole. Bastard...

Actually, I'm guessing his mistake was lifting off the throttle on a hard corner. That's an instant recipe for snap oversteer on a MR/RR layout.

i hate to see things like this........makes me sad! i know cars like this shouldnt jus be bought an locked away for a collection they should be driven....but seriously when ur gonna buy a supercar i dont think a normal licence is enough...porsche should test you out on the track at handling a 500hp+ car to see if u should really be buying something that'll do 0-60 before u realises whats happening

The frame is a carbon fiber monocoque. The entire car is made out of carbon fiber. You damage the frame and you're fvcked.

You know how people say it's a bitch to repair a damaged NSX or Audi A8 b/c of their aluminum frame? This is like getting pumped in the ass 10x by bubba and his pals

I did not realize that the entire frame was carbon fiber, I thought it just had many parts that were carbon fiber. Guess now I can see why the car could be a total loss.

How many were made for sale in the US? Would Porsche even allow the guy to buy another one?
