My laptop's (nc4000) hard drive crashed tonight for the second straight time in 6 months.

i can't get a damn phone number off their site that works and they have a supposed online chat (dont know if they are open or not) that i am going crazy talking to myself in.


damn you HP, damn you.
 
HP Tech Support is terrible. My boss bought a desktop from them and the DVD Drive didn't work. Called up Tech Support and informed them of the problem, they had me going into the Device Manager blah blah blah which is fine but it still didn't work. They said a new DVD drive would be shipped out early in the week and I should get it in 2-3 weeks.

6 months later they still don't have a DVD Drive. Had to call back after waiting 3 months and inquire about the DVD Drive, they had a record of the problem, but no record of it being resolved (duh). I ended up going through the same run around trying to get the old drive to work and finally they said someone would call the next day to setup a time to send the computer in.

That was 3 months ago, they're still waiting for a call. Absolutely Ridiculous.

That's why I purchase Dells.
They atleast send out the parts usually overnight or 2nd day air.
 
finally, went to sleep last night, woke up at 6:30 for some ungodly reason, got a hold of osmeone and now am going to send in my laptop to get fixed, luckily nothing on the laptop is critical.

damn you once again HP Compaq or whatever you call yourself now.
 
damn man that sucks. I love my NC8000 but luckily nothing has gone wrong with it. If it did our reseller would probably take care of it first and they would have to deal with HP/Compaq not me nor my company.
Good luck on getting your NC4000 repaired...
