Damn it I hate mail in rebates. I haven't had problems getting them until now... although sometimes they take their sweet-a$$ time.

This one pi$$es me off. $8 rebate for the LOTR Extended trilogy pack. Savings Fit For a King they called it.

To qualify, you need to complete the form/coupon (check!) original proof of purchase tab from the qualifying movie (check!) and the original receipt (check!)

Get in the mail today form the dolts:

The Coupon you submitted was for the Special Extended Edition/Collectors DVD gift set and the information that you have submitted is for the regular/theatrical version. Please check your submission."

Well, sweet zombie jesus! The coupon itself is for the extended as it's supposed to be, the store receipt is in there for the LOTR Trilogy for $99, and the proof of purchase tab says right on it "The Lord Of The Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy - Special Extended DVD Edtions 7347"

What else do these retards want? Geez. Pay up already. It's only $8. It's not that I *need* the $8, but they just can't seem to pay up when someone does everything they are supposed to do pi$$es me off the most

pricks.

That's what they're hoping, I'm sure. Multi-million dollar companies lying through their teeth hoping everyone will just "forget" about it 'cause it ain't worth it. I suspect they're right more times than not.

just give them a call, you shouldn't have to do it, but most rebate issues are fixed in just a few minutes.

Trust me, I'd love to call them but they don't have any # listed, just addy.

Make a copy of the photocopy of your stuff... send them a copy... point out exactly what you told us here, and include a copy of their letter. Keep a pleasant tone:
"I'm sure that with the volume of rebates you receive, mistakes are made; we're only human. Unfortunately, I am the victim of one such mistake. I've included a copy of the original submission, which shows that I have indeed fulfilled my obligations correctly. Please correct on your end and send me my 8 dollars. Thank you, sincerely..."

Should have no problem.

You *did* make copies, right? You've been here since 2000... I'd think that in over 4 years you should have seen at least 1 of the 500 posts about getting ripped off and how to defend yourself.
