God answered my prayers today: I found this while at Costco

No Lifer

They also had the deepest whiskey selection I've ever seen, 10-20 different brands in the $30-60 price range.

Yeah I don't get it either. It tastes bad and at least on the west coast it's considered trailer trash beer. When I lived in the midwest though people were highly defensive of it. Say something bad about PBR and you're a witch.

PBR craze? This beer has been around longer than you guys have been on the planet. You don't like PBR? Fine, don't drink it.

As far as cheap beer goes, PBR is pretty good.

There was a PBR brewery in my town growing up.

How much is Glenlivet 12 yo 750ml?

The cheapest I've seen is $33 at NH state liquor store.

Were you sampling free food over there?

I personally never understood this PBR craze.

On my personal cheap beer scale (<75cents/12oz), I'd say PBR > Bud Light > MGD > everything else > Bud > Natty Light

50 cents for a beer. Can't beat that.

If cost is the only factor.

If you want a cheap buzz and taste means nothing to you just do what my Finnish friends do. They go the pharmacy and buy alcohol. They then mix it with a softdrink. It'll get you drunk. It also tastes like shit and gives you a headache though. It's cheaper than PBR though and tastes slightly better so you might as well give it a shot.

Yeah I haven't been a teenager in like 20 years.

I drink good beer. I'm really just curious why people are so enamored with this beer. It's terrible. Not natty ice terrible but terrible nonetheless.

We had this discussion last year and the only reasonable explanation someone gave me was because of prohibition and people getting used to skunky water beer. I can't remember the exact logic.

You post things like you did up there, yeah, you're a kid.

I like PBR. It's a honest blue collar beer. Good beer paradoxically increased my appreciation of cheap beer. As long as beer has flavor(not Coors light), I'm ok with it.

nah this was at 8:25, 5 minutes before closing. Still managed to spend $160 in 5 minutes - fucking costco.
