He didn't say all Mexicans, he said illegal Mexicans, and by your own explanation, it should be ok since he was only talking about a subset. Now he shouldn't have because he wasn't sure who it was who did it. But it was equivalent to him saying "I saw this beater truck driving down the road and cut me off, probably some trailer trash".

I agree. I saw a white person (so I assume an American) back into a parked Mercedes 3 times and then drive off like nothing happened. Fortunately it was at a big 4th-of-July celebration, and she got stuck in the traffic jam long enough for a cop to show up.

Oh, and the racist comment aside - OP you need to find out how much it would cost to fix the dent/whether you care that much($). Then compare the cost of fixing it to your deductible and potential premium increase and decide which is more financially smart. More than likely you will do best buying a cheapo dent removal kit and some touch up paint. I'm saying this without knowing what year/model of car or how sever the dent is. I'm also assuming you actually want auto advice though you didn't post this in the garage.
