Starts the 24 for me, but It also ends on may 20. 🙁
But this semester I have only 3 classes (one got canceled) so umm... still gonna be horrible. 🙁

yea classes dont start till the 24th at the school i went to, current students still have 2 weeks of pissing old people off left

Just another 12 hour day... have to try to keep the tech working for the professors on the first day of classes.

Things I have found this year in my tech podiums during the cleanup between semesters:
An old Bud Light baseball cap
A semi full coffee thermos
A remote control from an adjacent classroom (which I thought was stolen)
The back of a chair
A ream of paper that had the same single page printed on them
3 empty ink cartridges (this one is baffling since we do the changes in the labs)
2 dead 9V batteries (none of our remotes use 9Vs)

The best was 2 summers ago where I found one podium had 5 staplers shoved in the back with all the wires. No joke, 5 staplers.

Got out early.
No lab for science. ITE class was just to tell us what book to get, and that we need to call the IT office and get setup with an account.

All I have tonight is some light reading. I feel ashamed I dont work harder on my first day. Maybe the classes tomorrow will be more intense. Like angry teachers or violent students.

I have school tonight from 5:30 to 8:10 ... bummer.
Also have an assignment to make up from yesterday's closed classes 😛 .

Being a graduate student is going to be rough.

My night class is from 7pm to 9:40.
BUT, my favorite gal at Hooters works on that night. So after I get out of class I have a sympathetic bosom to talk to.

Looks like the OP's rant failed...but at least down here it was because of ice/snow.

Not at all.
Even without snow plenty of people showed up a half hour late to each class, didnt have any books or note taking material (laptop or note pad), and didnt pay attention to half of what the professor said, despite it being mostly stuff telling you how to pass the fucking class. I predict many F's in each of my classes. I can only assume the children have mommy and daddy to pay for them.
