wow that was a great movie...100x better that ROTK. great cast and great acting. i thought it was supposed to be a chick flick (wasnt there a movie called mystic pizza or something?) but was very surprised!


very very end was a little weird tho ...that is all...

one of the most overrated films of the year. long, drawn out...look at me!! i'm dramatic!! ooooooo!!! please don't be bored!! oh, the ending is rather pointless!! you've watched 2 hours of law and order:p

i thought it was good...but definetely not 100x better than ROTK. ROTK was better, but mystic river was a good movie...

mystic river was a great movie....I don't know why anyone says it's overrated other than wanting to be that geek that wants to go against the grain.

They probably say SW, LoTR, and Matrix suck too.

No one I have known that saw Mystic River disliked it.

it was horrible....overrated, contrived dialogue....way too much forshadowing, 2 dimensional and underdeveloped characters, and several technical errors...with the boom in the way, horrible lighting..and just plain ole poor editing.



good grief...dont ever believe the critics and reviews...they are wack

The word overrated is overrated and anyone who gives that as a reason a movie is bad probably has no idea what they are talking about. :)

WTF is up with everyone tearing apart the reality and slight tech errors in films today....do those people enjoy anything?

I am sure no one thinks Matrix, SW, LoTR was real so saying it's not realistic is just stupid. It's entertainment...you know it's a 'show' not 10 o'clock news.

The movie sucked so bad its not even funny. The acting was bad, the story was boring, the ending was totally out of the blue and the parade scene had me and my friends totally confused. I cant believe how the critics tricked so many people into seeing this movie. Anybody who liked this movie deserves to be shot :disgust:

This movie was good, carried by an AMAZING performance by Sean Penn. It ranks up there as probably one of the best, if not the best, performances of the year by a male actor.

Overall, the movie seemed a little too coincidental for me... the events COULD have happened, but it was probably unlikely that so much tragedy would be sparked from Penn's daughter's death. Great acting all around in any case, very moving film.

BTW, this is for ADULTS, not for young pimply faced geeks who wouldn't know the stick named Maturity if it hit em in the face.

That's an impossible task when such an audience is detached from emotional empathy and is masked by hubric stubbornness. Like telling an infant why vegetables are good for him.
