From what I've seen in this series, the Rockies can definitely win the Wild Card. As you said, they have some good young bats in the lineup and the back end of the bullpen is really good. They're a good team.
fixed. as good and as hungry the rockies are, the nl west belongs to a little team called the san diego padres. hopefully they can show some of that dominance to the red sox this weekend. should be an interesting series seeing as its both the teams with the best record in their leagues matching up with their best pitching.
Not so sure about that now are you?
sweep by the rockies, padres win out and it can still play out like i predicted. :D

actually, i have tickets for the playoffs and would actually prefer for the padres to win the wild card so i can see peavy pitch at home. but playoffs is playoffs and ill take them getting in there any which way. but given a choice over which team id like to see advance, id rather it be the rockies than the d-backs.

Careful what you wish for OP!

However as a life-long fan of the NY Mets, take it from me that it could be worse! :(

yep, ill come in here and own up. that sucked last night that peavy still seems to struggle in big games, offense is lethargic with risp, and the freak injuries that occured in the final week. but im proud of the way the middle relief guys were lights out and hairston for being clutch once again and for adrian hitting his first career grand slam in such a crucial game. and the city is calling for hoffman's head at the moment, but i cant really blame the guy because if it wasnt for him we wouldn't have even gotten to game 163. we would've been down and out a long ways back. rockies just had crazy momentum and carried it with them all throughout the month of september and into october.

but what can i say, my team plays in a tough division and even though they had 3rd best record in the national league going into last nights game the two teams with better records are right above them in the same division. it also makes it tougher to swallow the loss when it comes off a blown call. but as a fan of the game ill still watch the postseason closely and see what moves the front office makes to try and improve for next year.
