ummm i know you can buy weed wackers with little like 5cc motors or whatever, but i thought gopeds had like larger motors with 10hp or something like lawn mower motors.

One of my good friends had gotten a guy to attach a tank of nitrice to his go-ped. The guy had told him it was illegal to do it, and I guess he assumed my friend knew the dangers of it. When I found out that he had this done, I was like you're f*cking nuts, you hit a curb or a bump and rupture the tank your ass is gonna blow up. This came as news to him and he promptly removed it the next day.

i had the exact same reaction a few weeks ago. I had passed this place that sold them every day, and decided to buy one for a birthday present for my friends son. I guessed they would be about $60. My jaw dropped when he told me they START at $499

ya, i looked it over real careful. It did have a squeeze "brake" with cable, and a little motor two wheels (+ 1 in front) a gear and a chain, plus the swivel mechanism for the steering. Ive been in manufacturing and I just cant see it. They also had a welded tubular frame four wheel "mini dune buggy" that "started" at $600 which seemed a much better deal. I also got to thinking if I bought the thing for the kid and he got hurt it would be on my shoulders so I guess it turned out for best. Im sure they are REAL dangerous since the kids are gonna want to take them around the block.
