Oh look, TML may be in the 50+% win side for once.
not yet. 37/76 = 48.6%
need four more wins to hit 50% by end of season.

Playoffs are looking likely for them this year though.

Still, they suck. 50 years. And it ain't gonna be this year!

Hence the presence of the word may.

Also the owners don't care about results as long as the dum dums keeping throwng money at the leafs.

i highly doubt that, if that was the case they'd spend a lot less on players, they've never been afraid to spend money, they've just been incredibly inept at using it for the last 45+ years. This is the franchise though that also didn't want to sign Wayne Gretzky because he wouldn't have put more people in the arena (they're always sold out)...hiring Shanny and Babcock where the first smart things the franchise has done in generations

Building a team is not just about spending money. It is their attitude. All I am asking for is a sense that they are trying to win.

That is the only reason why they were extremely pissed at the push for an expansion team near Toronto. And the commission caved since Leafs props up a lot of teams.

Hope the Capitals finally can do something. It's been the same old story where they have a great season then fizzle out in the playoffs and can't get past the second round.

And every year it is "but this year is different!" and I'm already hearing it, and it is true in the sense that they are scoring a lot more points than they typically do, but still ... I won't believe it till I see it.

Have you watched them play? And you think the current team sucks? So much young talent on the team.

Nope they definitely do not, i think they are finally on the right track, not there yet, but they are in better shape now then they have been in a long long time

My guess is that you are not a hockey fan if you can't see the talent.
My guess is that you're a TML fan and thought they were awesome - "the best!" - for the last 10 years and more. TML have the absolute worst fans.

Am I a TML fan? Yes. Have they had a good team in the last 10 years? No. Do they now? Yes. Any non-fair weather hockey fan can see this.

Finally. Clinched a spot. Now just 1 more point required not to face Washington in the first round.
