Nice to see Les Canadiens win their first, convincingly. I'd like them to get through the 1st round or so, all the way to the finals too, but at heart I'm a Canucks fan. 🙂
It only means it's gonna take the Bruins 5 games to defeat the Habs instead of the 4 game sweep I was expecting
The B's defensemen put in 2 of the Montreal's 5 goals and after the first 5-10 mins of the first period the Bruins seemed to pick up stupid penalty after stupid penalty.Plus the Bruins had some wierd D pairings having 2 small D'men (Boynton and Don Sweeney who were both minus 3 for the game) while having the 2 giant D'men (Mclaren and Hal Gill) paired together
The insult to injury was seeing that goon Gino Odjick put the nail in the coffin after Nick Boynton fell flat on his ass.
The only bright spot of the game was Joe Thornton who was dominant while on the ice not only scoring a goal and an assist but laying out some big hits (anyone catch the check he put on Doug Gilmourright near the start of the first period?)
