Go For It? DSL Deal...

Hey. I couldn't figure out where to post this, so... currently I have a 512k DSL connection that I get from Sprint for $50/month. They called me up a couple days ago and said they had reduced the price of the 1.5M connection from $100/month to $70/month. So for $20 more dollars I can get a 1.5/256k connection. What do you think? Go for it? 512k is already pretty fast, would the 1.5 do me much good unless I started playing more games online and stuff (which just ruin my study time 😉 )?

if your happy with 512k i see no reason to spend the extra money. Even for online gaming it is more then enough.

tsk, tsk, tsk.... must be all of that stuff that you smoke at those 'bowling' parties. the 1.5 is his downstream, his upstream(the important part in hosting) is a modest 256k

Correct. 1.5M down/256k up. Currently I have 512k down/128k up.

Well if you've got the money then go for it. Personally for me it wouldn't be worth it... I pay $50/month for 1.5/384 and I still think it's too expensive... in fact I'm probably going to have to cancel it soon. 🙁

cable is a whole diff story, my bud pays $30 a month for cable and gets 1.5mbdown/1mbup!
