WOOOOOOOOHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Go Devs!

I didnt even come to this board since I didnt think we had any hockey fans here!

Marty is definitely the real deal. I think he proved that time and again that Ottawa series, where Devils wouldnt have stood a chance if he werent in goal. Ottawa came on strong and hard, that was the best series of the playoffs, just shy of the Tor-Phi series.

But this Ducks team, I think they basically lost it when they rolled over the Wild, and basked in the glory a little too much. Man, these past two games have been so one-sided, I doubt the ducks have the mental toughness to steal even a single game.

That kinda sucks, since it means that the Devs will be skating the cup in enemy territory yet again....

Anyone who knows hockey has been giving Brodeur credit for ages. It's well known (at least among the people around here who know hockey, I am near NJ) that Brodeur is the cornerstone of the team.

Roy and hasek used to get all the press. brodeur was definitely a distant third after these, at least in the eyes of the casual fan.

of course those guys may not be considered the same generation as brodeur.

Actually, Brodeur is on pace to match or beat some of Sir Patrick's records...especially now that he has retired. The thing that has always amazed me about Brodeur is how he never get's hurt. In almost any playoff series, other teams try to crash the net on him to get some goals, and he just keeps bouncing back up.

I am also impressed he can keep focused on the game with the nasty divorce he is going through...

Problem for Brodeur is he will never face as many shots as some of these other goalies because he's teams Defense is soo good.

oh well.

the ducks definately have the wrong mental state. they seem to be stuck up in the glory of making it to the finals. some of them went into the city on wednesday to a see a broadway play. giggure went on the tonight show last week.

i think they will lose a game in anaheim in ot so they will close out in jersey.

really?? i think the devils will end it in 5

Woooooohoooo! Ducks win in OT, make it a series! That was definately the best game the Ducks have played. I am in shock at the 2nd goal Marty let in...that was quite a uncharacteristic blunder.

If they can win the next one, it will be a whole new series..🙂

The Ducks have that OT magic working... 🙂

The trick now is to avoid the OT like a plague for the Devils. I am dissapointed in them right now, they are the better team and should not have lost two in a row like this. I feel a awesome game coming for the Devil sin gm 5.

new jersey looked more crisp from the beginning. better passing and transitions, stronger board play. funny how things change game to game.

Too many crazy goals for one game🙁
We'll see what happens when this moves back to the pond

Yeah, and they weren't really Giguere's fault.... they were crazy goals that normally wouldn't happen....

Oh well..... GO DEVILS!

I feel another good game tonight! After 2001 the Devil's Captains won't let their be a letdown this time. The Ducks will be paying the price hard and often tonight!

Did you guys hear the Anouncer say "it's theirs (devils) unless they lose it".

HOW stupid is that?? I mean talk about stating the obvious.

lol. Sports announcers and reporters say the dumbest things all the time. "the key to winning is scoring more goals than the opponent" or "If he gets it past the goalie, it's in"

I'm sad, but congrats Devils, you guys are great. Just find a home city, please, so we don't have to endure parking lot parades.
