Two guys walk into a bar. One is 6 feet tall the other is 5 feet tall. Each one of them the exact same wight but the shorter guy looks to be more on the lighter side of the scale.
They walk up to the bar and the bartender notices that the taller guy has a wooden leg (this is a very important part of the joke so remember it)
They both get identical drinks with the same # of cubes of ice. The taller guy drinks his drink really slow while the shorter guy drinks his very fast.
The tallk guy gets up forgetting his leg and hobbles to the bathroom to take a piss while the shorter guy waits at the table.
While he is gone the shorter guy gets into a conversation with the watress about the meaning of life and how all people have been created equally in the eyes of the lord.
She nods and says that she has to go bust tables when the hopping taller guy returns (remember he left his leg before leaving to go to the bathroom).
As he aproches the table to retrieve his leg and sit back down he falls to the floor dead.
Why?

Ice cubes were poisoned?

Well, if they melted, they would release poison into the drink.

Fvck me if that isn't an elaborate riddle, though.

The tall guy went to the bathroom to do some lines and overdosed. When he returned, his heart exploded due to the fact that he was hopping on one leg.

The two guys had been drinking all night and were quite drunk. While in the bathroom, the tall guy saw a poster of a scantily clad woman on the wall. Forgetting about it for a moment, he grabbed his raging hard-on, thinking it was his leg, and tore it off. When he got back to the table, he saw his wooden leg there and had a heart attack after realizing what he had just stuck to his knee.

Ugh, your riddle sucks if there can be an infinite amount of possible answers.

Maybe the taller guy had high cholesterol and it finally caught up to him. Who knows.

Close. The tall guy (wood leg) Drag his drink slowly so the poision in his ice cube melted into his drink killing him. The short guy drank his fast so the poison didn't have time to melt.

They both get identical drinks with the same # of cubes of ice. The taller guy drinks his drink really slow while the shorter guy drinks his very fast.

This is always the way I thought the story went.

He said the wooden leg is important to the story, so the poison gig wouldn't work...

The version of this riddle I read had no mention of a wooden leg or any claim that it was important

Here is a version I found online:

"Two guys walk into a bar. They both order the special, Long Island Iced Tea, which is poured from the same pitcher. One of them drinks his drink slowly and one of them drinks it fast. They walk outside and suddenly the guy who drank his Long Island Tea slowly drops to the ground and dies. They order an autospy and find that he died from poison. How could this be if the other guy drank the same tea and didnt even get sick?

Answer
There was poison in the ice of the drinks. The guy who drank it fast finished it before the ice melted. The guy who drank it slowly gave the ice time to melt so the poison got in the drink and he died."

So either this is a different riddle, or OP has been wasting our time (more so than most ATOT threads).

DING DING DING we have a winnar! I actually was bored last night bumping my friends thread (amazing I have a friend ) and while I spewed out that load of crap as a bump to his thread decided to have a little fun ;)
I have had a chuckle or to I must say looking at some of the answers, mainly the fact I didnt mean for it to really get solved at all, but will have to agree I guess the one part did come out from a real riddle and that wasnt ment. I was hoping none of it made any sense at all and most were just looking at the pile of crap scratching thier heads tring to pull an answer out of that when there wasnt supposed to be one :p

Anyway go back to your life people Im done here for now :D

We had this answer in the first five or so posts.

The riddle is bad and you should feel bad.

there was poison in the ice and the tall guy let the ice sit and melt.

funny though cause my GF told me a riddle of this variation like a month ago. I had no clue what the answer was until she told me, and when she told me I was pissed about it because I didn't think of it haha.

EDIT: oh snap someone already answered it. but he cheated and found the answer online! :p

The only thing that puzzled me is that you thought this was an interesting riddle at all.
