More of a Nostalgia interest. Back in the day I owned a 3dFX card and invested (and lost money) in the company. Someone reverse engineered a dead, never released, 3dfx Voodoo 5 6000 board (the one with 4 chip SLI), and has built a few. GN bought one and has been trying to get it working enough to do a story:

I was glued to this video today for the whole 30 minutes. I really like how they went into the history of 3dfx's rise and fall. I've got a dual-boot system running Win98 SE and Win2k and I still break it out to game with every once in a blue moon. The card in it is a Voodoo 4 4500 and I have a passively cooled PCI Voodoo 3 in storage if it ever fails. The rest of the system is 1GB of DDR and a Pentium 4 3.06Ghz CPU. My 1st 3D accelerator was an 8MB Creative Labs Voodoo 2 and I've been hooked on 3D gaming ever since.

Fun stuff!
