I really hate how some of these companies don't have the ability to accept domestic U.S. bank card payments...can't buy from GoG for this reason either.

Your bank card doesn't have a VISA "ability" attached to it?

It does but for whatever reason it won't take international charges. Apparently this may be somewhat uncommon but nowhere near unheard of. It may have something to do with the issuing bank.

Recommend changing the title with the new deals.

Also, Fear 3 was definitely worth it - awesome coop and the multiplayer is a lot of fun.

Dammit, I said I wasn't going to buy anymore games after getting Batman:AC over the weekend. Well, yesterday I picked up Deus Ex: HR for $12 and now looks like I'm going to hand over $12.50 for Space Marine.

I really wish hard drive prices would get back down. I can't fit much anymore on my 500GB HD.

Space Marine on sale for $12.49, uses steamworks

How can you tell if something is Steamworks? I thought that it was the "Steam Cloud" tag on the store page of a game on Steam, but Space Marine does not have that tag.

I came into this thread just to say that it's a good thing it's not steamworks since my debit card won't work with GMG lol, only to seee you say it IS steamworks!

Moo, unless they changed the price since I checked it last this morning (I can't check it now), Magicka is actually $4 for the whole collection not $8.

I have two copies of base Magicka and one copy of the collection in my Steam inventory, but for $4, I was so tempted to pick up at least one more collection. I figure if I want to get people to play with me, it wouldn't be good if I have every DLC and they only have the base game!

Steam Cloud doesn't necessarily mean that the game is Steamworks, but rather that the game supports using Steam's folders for save files (which Steam then uploads upon the game exiting).

In the case of Green Man Gaming, they will actually list on the product's page whether or not it uses Steam. It should say something like, "This product requires a free Steam account to play." and it will also say "This product cannot be traded in." Although, do be aware that the product unable to be traded does not make it a Steamworks title, as I believe GFWL also makes it so you can't trade the game in. I know Batman: Arkham City says that, and it's not a Steamworks title.

In the past, before I thought Steam Cloud was the tag, I was using this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Steam_titles

But it says LOTR War in the North isn't Steamworks...

I usually just google <game name> steamworks.

There are a few games that don't use steamworks that still activate on Steam. Off the top of my head I can think of Prey and maybe AvP. Some copies of M&B: Warband that follow a very specific cd key format.

I think all thq and bethesda games are steamworks now.

This is a good list also:

War in the North and Space Marine are on the 2011 list.

GMG will specifically list if a game requires Steam. I know Amazon has started to do this also. Requires and activates on Steam are 2 different things.
