Would you buy a car/truck thats older w/less miles over a car thats newer w/ more miles? I'm lookin at 2 trucks, one is a 99 and has 180,000 the other is a 95 and has 100,000.

Maybe. If the 99 has been maintained by the book, and the 95 has had no maintenance, then the 99 would get the nod. Does one have more options or a color you like better? If the 99 has had a bunch of parts replaced, ie: water pump, front end parts, fuel pump, etc., and the 95 hasn't, then probably the 99 again. The 95 will be needing parts replacement pretty soon....

In general, newer and more miles is the better deal assuming both are maintained properly. The high mileage should knock the price down a fair amount. That said, it all depends on the condition of the trucks. About 7-8 years seems to be about the time that some things start to fail, so maybe the 95 has already had some replacements (e.g. alternator, water pump)?? Maybe not. Good luck.

Might be about time for a clutch on the '99 also. I see one is an extended cab. Which do you prefer?

I would go with the 95. The extended cab makes a world of difference. I drove a friends regular cab ranger once and will never get a compact truck in a regular cab, hell I will never get a compact truck anyways.
<<<Loves his 4 door Silverado

I had a 1995 sonoma, ran til 220k miles til it stopped, I didnt really take care of it either, tough truck. 4.3L v6 btw
