Hey, do any of you that use gmail have an issue that when you send emails they sometimes dont arrive to the senders mailbox?

I had teachers tell me that they sometimes dont receive things and I though its just them being lazy to look for it but I sent an email to my parents recently and they said they never got it. I checked my self and they never got it. Gmail is being a bit flaky for me now :(

I love gmail but wtf is up with that.

I checked all that on my parents email nothing :(, but gmail should not be getting blocked by the mail server as spam, at least I hope not. My email is not weird like it looks like a spam. Does Gmail have a setting so I can get a receipt of it being successfully received?

Take "bukakke" out of the subject line and you should be fine.

are they filtering their email with a mail client such as outlook? do they have personal folders that you could check?

You can use outlook to download gmail email and use the read receipt function within outlook.

My teachers are probably using outlook, my parents use outlook but they dont have much filtering everything either goes to Junk mail or Inbox

or the recipient email servers are straight up blocking gmail. or pre-filtering before the inbox.

this is the unfortunate problem w/ a large company like google.. it'll be hard as hell to try and get support. but that's you're only option right now, get sent email and pass it along to google to see if they can trace if it left google.

Then maybe try the same w/ your parents' provider to see if they ever received it.

I was thinking outlook too. Is the OP using outlook as well?

I haven't used outlook in years, but I remember it doing flaky stuff like this.

Most likely cause. I work for an ISP- this happens all the time.

Their email provider is probably marking it as spam before it ever gets to them. Log into the webmail interface and check the spam folder there, or see if there are any rules set to block addresses.

It's gotten so I can't use gmail to contact most of my professors. The mail server at the college filters out gmail addresses nowadays.

My CS professor sez that within a couple of years, the ONLY permissible email addresses will be the authorized .edu email that they issue students.

ugg, another email did not go through I am getting very skeptical about gmail now. Its not reliable like before. Emailed a company On the weekend its 3 business days later, call them up, they say we never got that email, might be that there lieing but its getting consistent with Gmail screwing up my emails!

I may start using my att email again.

You can't really blame gmail when it's not their fault but the people that run the mail server.
